Pool Fences

Every city and county in Southern California requires that every pool have a fence around it with a locked gate. However, some jurisdictions have grandfathered buildings with pools that do not have fencing and locked gates, making them legal. Not withstanding that it may be legal in rare instances for some pools to be unfenced, it is not a safe condition, and consequently, most management companies will not provide management services to these associations unless they are willing to fence their pools.
